Manufacturing Prices Set to Increase in 2009
Many of the UK’s tackle manufacturers have already put there prices up to there tackle shops and will be forced into further increases as we go into 2009.
The trade price of the popular Prologic ‘Quick Release’ Connectors went up to shops by 25% some months ago with the RRP for 3 now being £10.99 in many shops.
Real Ideas Mk2 Clever Claw is selling well at the RRP of £24.99 and anglers contacting us to let us know how delighted they are with the advantages gained over other supports or holding the pole.
We have a ‘limited period offer’ at participating tackle shops but due to an increase in material cost from our suppliers we may find it difficult to maintain this. This may result in an increase in the RRP at the shops.
All our component parts for the Mk2 Clever Claw are manufactured in the UK which gives the advantage of very short lead times resulting in greatly reduced ‘back order’ time.
Most realise that, in the long run, it’s best to pay a little more for a genuinely unique and quality made product.
Mk2 CC used at ‘Major Final’
Since the launch of the Mk1 Clever Claw ‘Real Ideas’ have been aware that anglers at ALL levels are using the new re-engineered M2 Clever Claw…..
….but many are not yet aware of it’s existence let alone it’s versatility and the advantages using the claw offers.
Recently, and to our surprise and delight, it came to our attention through the Total Fishing angling forum that a highly experienced pole angler, Mick Lees, had been seen using a Mk2 Clever Claw in possibly the most prestigious fishing competition in the UK, the Parkdeans Masters.
Mick came sixteenth out of the twenty six finalists in a field comprising of the cream of the UK’s long pole anglers.
Real Ideas are very proud to be able to announce this fact as have stated on many occasions that it has the ability to give advantages to anglers at ALL LEVELS.
PURELY BY COINCIDENCE
Only a week prior to hearing the above we had been demonstrating the Mk2 CC at a shop in Derbyshire called Subfish and one of the staff asked if he could ‘have a go’.
This was ADAM WAKELIN the ‘winner’ of the Parkdeans Masters!!! Simply a coincidence.
Before letting Adam on my box with my heavy 16mtr carp pole I had asked him if he pole fished, worried he might damage my pole, and he answered “a bit” so I said be careful then. As soon as he got onto my box I could tell he was an experienced pole angler by the way he shipped out and got the hang of using the Mk2 Clever Claw quickly.
After several minutes of ‘clipping on’ and ‘releasing’ the claw, lifting with his knee to strike and moving the pole from side to side whilst using just his knee and pretending to feed with a catapult (oh, and also chatting to a friend on his mobile totally hands free) he got off my box and went back behind the counter.
Minutes later I heard a customer ask “what are you going to spend the money on then”, so I asked Adam “have you won the lottery” and he answered….
….” no the Parkdeans Masters”.
Used long pole ‘a bit’ he had told me, yeah right!
I asked Adam what he thought of the Mk2 Clever Claw and he told me he was very impressed and “could see how it would definitely help many anglers that can’t hold long pole easily”.
